About the Enterprise 2.0 Society

Enterprise Social Software (Enterprise 2.0) is a new breed of IT infrastructure that enables organizations to become more competitive in the age of globalization and accelerating change. It has its roots in consumer social software which has led to breakthroughs in just-in-time relevant communications and collaboration that is now leading directly back into the Enterprise.

The Enterprise 2.0 TAG society will explore key strategic and organizational shifts that organizations need to make in order to adapt to the changing landscape of the digital world.

Effective adoption of Enterprise 2.0 technologies and processes require leadership and cooperation from key decision makers and influencers throughout the enterprise.

The goal of the Enterprise 2.0 society is to empower leaders within Georgia's Technology community with the knowledge and networking necessary to begin moving their organizations towards an organizational process paradigm that meets the challenges of the 21st century.

The Enterprise 2.0 Society is part of the Technology Association of Georgia and meets monthly with an average of 75-100 attendees.

About Technology Association of Georgia

The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) is dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of the state's technology industry and provides leadership in driving initiatives in the areas of policy, capital, education and giving. TAG also brings the technology community together through events, initiative programs and networking opportunities.

TAG’s Membership is a who's who of tech leaders and pioneers. Its 2500+ membership includes thought leaders from technology companies – small and large, executives of FORTUNE 500 companies, investors, service providers, government and civic leaders and entrepreneurs.

TAG was launched in January, 1999 with the merger of three of the state's largest technology organizations: the Southeastern Software Association, the Business and Technology Alliance and Women in Technology. At its launch, TAG became one of the largest technology organizations in the country.

Today, TAG's mission is to help Georgia's technology companies speak in a strong voice. The Association helps members connect with companies that use their services. It serves as a liaison with Chambers of Commerce statewide and beyond to attract new businesses and employees…to provide TAG members with information on the legislative agenda that impacts them.

TAG's Societies are large groups that include women in technology, software development, healthcare, marketing and local groups of tech professionals around the state. Its Special Interest Groups (SIG) encompass more than a dozen disciplines, from conducting business internationally to raising capital, from outsourcing to project management, technology in entertainment to offshore development solutions.
